Detail Design
Digital Mockup (DMU)
Our DMU capabilities is more than a typical CAD file. At QuantumPoint we integrate data from engineering, manufacturing, and maintenance, and use these data to simulate various industrial processes, uses, behavior and performance of the finished and final product. Our PLM experts support exclusive DMU activities for various aerospace and automotive customers and their suppliers.
System Integration
We strive to provide systematic integration expertise rather than a typical systems integration we typically see in the industry today. To this effect, we involve virtual integration of parts forming systems, sub-systems, or components. We design and integrate digital mockup of the individual systems or sub-systems and also integration with their meta models / structures in which either they fit or will be integrated. Ahead of time, we analyze assembly drawings, their GDnT, interfaces, qualified, and integrate CAD models before sending to the customer.
Manufacturing Drawings
At the end of our design acceptance phase, we generate detailed design including manufacturing drawings. Our subject matter experts have decades of experience in generating such manufacturing drawings as per aerospace standards. Our manufacturing drawing capabilities include dimensioning, tolerancing, surface finish, heat treatment requirements, materials and their nomenclature etc.
Assembly Sequencing
We help our customers in easing their manufacturing process. We provide intelligent catalogs that help in transferring their light-weight CAD models across the PLM platform. Our catalogs provide information with respect to assembling, disassembling of individual parts and whole assemblies. This can also be used as a training tool for the shop floor employees. Also, in many cases it has been provided as a part catalog to the end customer. Our subject matter experts have been supporting several aerospace customers in developing such intelligent catalogs for assembly and disassembly activities. We develop such catalogs by directly deriving data from the CAD of our detailed design itself.
Assembly Drawing
As part of our comprehensive design services, we provide detailed assembly drawings including sequencing of assembly, required surface finish, any heat treatment schedules. We have been providing such services to several aerospace and defense customers for over 2 decades.
Bill of Material (BOM)
We provide detailed bill of materials as a final outcome of the manufacturing drawings. We include nomenclature of pats, material details, any specific additional information (such as an alloy or a composite or curing required for composites, heat treatment, surface finish, tolerance etc.). We provide such BOMs as a standard document along with our manufacturing drawing.
